His numbers have stabilized some, but he's far from out of the woods. No chemo since over a week. He needs to get his blood count up. He'd appreciate talking to folks. He's at Ochsner, main campus on Jefferson Hwy, room 807. You can direct dial him there. He has real poor internet services in his room.

I just got ahold of his room and a family friend answered. Doesn’t sound good.

Latest update as of 8/24/22 - 9pm-ish - JP has lost consciousness and is on medicine to ease his pain. He is not expected to make the night.

When Smashmouth and I visited him in hospital last Saturday, JP pepped up and I think we gave him some a booster - some relief for an afternoon of laughs and talk of old times. JP seemed to jump back into the fight for his life. Unfortunately, his cancer has compounded other infections in his body, and he is currently being consumed.

JP is not expected to make it through the night.
JP has hardly any family and loved ones, just some friends, co-workers, and his brothers and sisters here at Black and Gold.

Please pray JP passes peacefully and without suffering.

As soon as we get any more information, I will post here.
