Part Three of the introduction of the upgrades. The east side Caesars Club is going to be awesome.

I have always felt we did a million renovations and never seriously pursued a new stadium because of corruption in Louisiana. You can’t build a new stadium and embezzle 50% because everyone will notice if a stadium costs double what it should compared to comperable recent stadium builds. But its a lot harder to say how different a $250 million vs $450 million renovation should look.

Hopefully this renovation will include ramps to make the stadium more accessible to Michael Thomas.

There is no doubt that corruption is rampant in Louisiana. Just look at how narrow the Huey P Long bridge is. As I understand it, for every inch shaved off the side money was pocketed by corrupt politicians. This is just one example of shameless greed running Louisiana. Even our governor flies first class....

I can tell you personally that the renovations through last season have been great and with what we'll have at the beginning of this season will make it one of the nicest in the league.

All of those stupid space wasting ramps are gone. There are now express escalators and elevators that go directly to and from specific levels in a fraction of the time.

Even haters like Bako will be impressed. But, then again, he'd never set foot in the place anyway unless it was to hold up hate filled signs. Does the guy ever post anything that isn't filled with hate and venom? I only see what others quote and every one is the same crap.

Sad. :(

This renovation keeps the Saints in the state for the foreseeable future, and more importantly, keeps the Dome in the rotation for the Super Bowl and all other huge events. The $450 million was a fraction of what it would take to build an entire new complex for basically the same end result. New stadiums are running two to three billion, for example.

Don't get me wrong. I love the Super Dome and feel like it's a historic icon for sporting arenas. I was merely commenting on the corruption in La.

Oh, I know, Rugs. I just can't say enough about the new Superdome. And make no mistake, it is new! We were in the Dome the final game prior to Katrina and the changes are astounding. It is totally unrecognizable beyond the general shape of the exterior structure.
