This defense isn’t what it has been the last few years

If you want to say playcalling is coaching cool. If you want to say players aren't buying in cool. AK, Harty, n Hill fumbles are ALL ON THEM. DA isn't the reason guys can't hold on to the ball. DA may be the reason for this pass poor defensive playcalling or personnel that is in on them plays. Adebo looking like hit garbage is Adebos fault why we have no one better s DAs fault. MCcoy n Ruiz hot garbage.

Players have to take some responsibility. You mean to tell me Allen has to teach Kamara to NOT fumble there? He has to teach Hurst to NOT rip a guys helmet off? C’mon Man!

Re: Seahawks @ Saints Game Day Thread

We play press man with ZERO press. WTF is the mindset behind that. Look at adebo body language after the DK td. Wtf was Roby doing on the dropped DK td

We are officially in a NEW Saints era. Any parts of Sean are gone. Because guys would be benched atp.

Who is "MANAGEMENT"? The guy who traded our 1st round pick for next year, maxed out the salary cap to win now, and unloaded CDJ because we were so deep only saw 17-0 and a parade in his honor coming.

Sean Payton likely saw it coming though. Doubt he would have stepped away if we were primed to win with a young loaded team, lots of cap room, and draft picks to get a great new QB. Thats what he is looking for now. He left because "MANAGEMENT" kept demanding he 'win now' and didn't have any vision for a rebuild and had delayed rebuild so long he knew it would be too long and painful even if they had the brains to know it was needed.

So who the def coordinator again? ... Asking for a friend.

You can’t play everybody the same way. Press man works great for us against certain teams. I think you can let Lattimore guard Metcalf in press all day. He matched up well with those kind of receivers. I wouldn’t let him do that against Lockett cuz the slim, quick guys give him more trouble. They need mix in more Cover 3.

Re: Seahawks @ Saints Game Day Thread

That TD before half reminded me of the vikings TD in the playoffs. With that much time and no TOs. Every receiver should have been tackled at the LOS and let time run out. No way you let them run into the end zone.

I’m drained watching this team. This product being put on the field is trash… 😡

Re: Seahawks @ Saints Game Day Thread

When I was a little one, my Coach would punch the ball, punch me in the head, in the back, in the chest, anything to try to force a fumble, while screaming "HOLD THE BALL!" It had an impact. He was a major motivating FORCE. Coaching mattered.

I feel like they gone give the Seahawks the ball. It’s just what the NFL does to us.

Re: Seahawks @ Saints Game Day Thread

A key problem is we can't bench many of the guys because their backup is a barely athletic former undrafted rookie or a totally washed up minimum salary vet. What the NFL draft does it let you stock up with good athletes with potential in the early and middle rounds who are young and hungry and ready to take the job if the starter drops the ball. But we don't feel we need that kind of depth so we always trade away picks and don't care about the compensatory pick formula. We won a Super Bowl drafting great oline in the mid rounds and now we rarely retain a mid round pick or get a decent oline with one. And if we ever do occasionally retain a middle round pick, half the time we reach for some ridiculous project who nobody expected to be drafted at all who doesn't make the team, just to prove the point that see we can trade all those picks for a few golden boys and a flask of annointing oil. Thats where this falls on Loomis and the entire front office where we need to totally clean house. To some extent we are stuck tolerating horrible performances because 'Mickey' Mouse traded all those picks to 'make it happen' for some guys who were penciled in as starters regardless of performance, and then all the draft picks we traded away left us with no alternative if they failed. So we are one of the oldest teams, one of the most injury prone teams, and when our players screw up nobody can do anything because the backup is some undrafted guy who clearly can't carry the water. So the starters can relax and eat some Little Debbies because nobody can threaten their job.

Re: Seahawks @ Saints Game Day Thread

The NFL needs to change rules where a blow to the head cannot cause a fumble or incompletion. Such plays should be frozen at the point where the blow to the head occurred at which point Olave was down in the endzone with possession. He only let go when he went unconscious because his head slammed the ground. Nobody can hold a ball unconscious. Eventually if the NFL does not fix this, someone is going to be dead at the bottom of the pile.

Shoulda been an automatic booth review , not a challenge flag. Saints get it in the rear end again, despite the TD .
