The cover is mainly to keep the cat hair away. I haven't caught anyone trying to put laundry or eat on my pool table yet ... I think I've set the subconscious message such that no one will try it!

Ha Ha. We had a full sized table when I was growing up. Pop got a good 1/2 inch piece of plywood to cover it over the cover so it could be used for utility As well as pool.
