Did ya'll see the article where Winston is upset with the Saints? Said he lost his job because of injury and it wasn't fair that there is an unwritten rule that a player doesn't lose his job because of injury. Of course, we all know it was his PLAY not being up to par. Every game the guy played in it was like excuses from the announcers all the way through. Don't know about ya'll but i don't watch the game to hear excuses. That is not the culture Payton had created. He always said, No excuses, not even complaining about hurricane/covid emergencies etc. next man up has to do his job. Best thing to do is tell Winston's agent to seek a trade (good luck finding a taker), or just outright cut out the cancer. Bye bye

Not a Scam fan. Not a JW fan. I just can’t help not liking them when they played so long for division rivals.

I enjoyed it so much when they were sacked. Almost as much as Brady or Manning. Lol.

Agree with some of the above but to call JW a cancer is nonsense. He has been a good teammate and shown a sense of graditude and grace since he came to the Saints.

I was not a JW fan but with our QB room since Brees’s exit felt he deserved a shot at the starting job. Weather it was overall play or injuries last year or this year JW did not perform except 4th quarter game 1 against Atlanta. I know he won games last year but Kamara disappeared from the passing game, short passes to keep the chains moving looked awkward at best. He Pre snap reads and calls to setup the offensive protections if called did not work and as a result he was running for his life … he did a decent job scrambling. With his knee and other injuries this year that wasn’t happening.

There is no law guaranteeing you retain your job when go down from a injury, Drew Bledsoe / Tom Brady and many other examples come to mind. It’s a who gives the team the best shot to at winning league not only at QB but all positions period. As it should be. And right now from JW pass play, performance and health it looks like Allen and company believes it’s Daltons job to lose.

Can understandability JW not being happy and might seek a trade at the end of the season … good luck with that.

Right now it’s questionable if either of these QB’s will be on the team next season but if 1 sticks around to mentor a young QB along, my guess it will be Dalton.

Agreed with your take on this. JW is a more mature QB than he's being given credit for. But I guess it's hard for some to look at him in with other than Tampa Bay colored glasses, because that version was trash.

This version, I'm willing to take a wait and see approach. He's under contract for another year so what are we losing keeping him on?

(Side Note: If you want to ID a 'lockerroom cancer' I'd seriousl take a look at how the players are reacting to coaching.)

Nope. I didn't catch that article. Care to share a link?
