He finally had to shut it down. After having off-season surgery to repair the damage he suffered a setback (guessing an infection) that required another surgery. During that offseason he rehabbed and was fully ready for play. That's when he suffered the toe injury that the team initially misdiagnosed (as mentioned by Rugs). It was a full dislocation that should have been addressed by surgery right away, but they had him wait and tried to rehab without surgery. He finally had the surgery and is now on track to return "good to go" for training camp according to both Loomis and Dennis Allen.![]()
Delvin Breaux was another player who was misdiagnosed by the Saints medical staff and tried to file a malpractice claim. Unfortunately for him, misdiagnosis doesn't necessarily relate to malpractice unless it results in some sort of material damage. |
