Chiefs came to WIN. NOT to blame any lack of success on Mahomes' injury, or the refs.

Re: Conference Championship Game Day Thread

Burrow and the Bengals are taking advantage of the injury to KC's Sneed in the secondary. They are still in the game. Back within a score at half. If it wasn't for all of the untimely injuries to their own offensive line Cincy would be dominating this game on Burrow's abilities and the studs at WR and RB.

Great QB's overcome all. There's two of them in this game.

And a BS holding call on Cincy and no calls on his own line, of course.

Why does it seem like the referreeing inevitably comes into question in these hi visibility games? I’ve never been a blame it on the zebra guy, but holy crap it has been ass today.

That was a fantastic game. I hope KC can get Mahomes and WR's and that CB healthy in the next two week and take down the Iggles.

Re: Conference Championship Game Day Thread

The kick at the end was a 45-yarder. You add 15 yards to that and are looking at close to a 60-yarder, well outside of the kicker's range. That game should have gone to overtime and I feel like the unnecessary roughness ruined the ending of an otherwise classic. I had my playoff bracket perfect before the games, and now I'm left without a team.

Saints front office needs to take notes from the 49ers loss:
Simply put, if you have a QB who can't make passes and your playcalling is one dimensional, it doesn't matter how strong your D is, or how much talent you have on Offense. You won't score points!

Seems like a Captain Obvious statement, but the point bears repeating.

Perhaps OUR playcalling was somewhat one dimensional BECAUSE the QB couldn't make the passes.

On another note, the Chiefs crowd was louder than ever and definitely helped in big moments. This notion of making the conf. champions neutral field games would absolutely ruin the spirit of the playoffs.

... but would bring in tons of new revenue. That's how those billionaires became billionaires. I agree with you, but the NFL is a business. It will probably happen. Soon.

Definitely heard all of the crowd nuances on my newly tweaked home theatre system. It was as if I was in the stands watching the game.

Smash !!!

You really got me thinking now. I have a media room (pre wired) that is basically empty and I've been contemplating what to do with it for some time now.

Our previous home had the Bose Acoustimass 6 (old by today's standards), nothing fancy however the sound was full & rich.

If the Saints front office had been taking notes, a season like the one we just had (and possibly a few more) would not have happened.

If I had a media room, which I could do above the garage in my back building, I'd sound insulate all the walls and ceiling. Then install ceiling Dolby Atmos speaker system. Don't really need a sub if you get the Golden Ears ( no choice with a Bose system). Each one of the Tritons I have sport a 1600 watt sub. More than enough. No need to use the sub out on the receiver if your receiver has them. I use both of them for the fronts. My rears also have 300 watt sub built in, the Def Techs. The biggest center channel from Golden Ears is bad azz. I've got the smaller one. The tweeter they use is next level. If you're starting from scratch, get four Tritons, two fronts and two rears, and smaller ones for Atmos and what not. And a receiver to match. Plenty of good brands. I have the DENON 6200. New one is 6700. Or you can go top of the line 7000 series. The multiform source they have is cool but not necessary, IMHO. Do use quality cabling, which you can buy online cheaper, with banana plugs. I didn't use the Audissey system to calibrate. It's a PITA and unnecessary. Use the manual set up and adjust the sound levels manually until it matches your room accordingly. Every room is different. The "pre-wired" rooms on new builds are not quality cabling, typically.

If you've got the coin, you won't regret investing in Denon and Golden Ears. Truly next level.

I watched the Eagles game with my good friend from Philadelphia. I don't watch football anymore but I forgot just how much fun the playoffs can be. I was secretly pulling for San Francisco. Yes, I know they used to beat us up. That was then and this is now. They are not the same team and neither are we. Unfortunately, "the neither are we" is just sad.

REALLY sad. I guess part of my (hopefully) becoming more mature, is that I can remain a SAINTS FAN FOREVER, but still (finally) enjoy watching better managed teams in the playoffs. It's still sad, but I can at least enjoy watching THE GAME being played by admittedly better prepared teams... to some degree.

Sinner, I can see it's been tough on you watching the team underperform this year. Before Sean Payton:) came on board I was sitting next to people with bags on their heads. We went on to win a Super Bowl in Grand Style! I believe we can get there again with the current ownership and front office. I have no faith in this coaching staff anymore.

Wow! Really? You were sitting next to that small group fans that wore the bags. You must have had great seats back in that last part of 1980 and the first few games of 1981. Honestly, I had far, far less confidence in many coaching staffs over the last 55 years myself. At least we have a top five quality defense now. If we had this ten years ago we would have won multiple Lombardi's!

Yeah Guido, I sat there right next to the bags for way too many games. But the fans were still coming even though some were wearing bags on their heads. For all I know we had more fans in the stands then than for our last game. Gayle Benson did not know what she was getting into when she hired Dennis Allen, who is slowly driving away the fan base.

I was at every game this season. The crowds were all pretty comparable to last season's as far as I could tell. The last game was likely the smallest, but we were out of the running and the weather was nasty. What was down was the visiting fans. The sections down below us are always filled with opposing fans. It was pretty barren. The real fans are always going to show up even if Vladimir Putin was the head coach. :D
