Senior Bowl

My friend has a press pass and for years we went to the Senior bowl every year but it's also the same weekend as the pajama party in Pensacola and the pajamas won. Senior bowl practice is the best place to really get a feel for the players and watch them going through reps with coaches. I still get fired up watching the senior bowl because it is signals the start of the draft and the promise of a new season!

QB, DT, OG , and RB are the key positions where I'll be focusing my attention on Saturday looking for Saints coaches on the side line. Tyler Davis- DT from Clemson is a top 20 player I'll be keeping an eye on. At the positions of need who do you like?

The New Orleans Saints have 125 interviews set up for the Senior Bowl. We have several coaches there to evaluate players who might fit our system. We have a habit of finding good players at the Senior Bowl and that is also where we initially met Jeff Ireland when he was unemployed at the job fair called the Senior Bowl.

Well... Ruiz did finally come around. But we need help all along the OL. Peat needs to go. We need young blood to take over. Hopefully the younger players we do have are all ready to step up.

Let's not forget that all five projected starting offensive linemen missed time due to injuries during the season. Several of their replacements were also injured and missed time. We had twelve different offensive linemen take regular season snaps.

I guess looking at it in a positive light (a habit of mine) we did, at least, give seven of our backups varying degrees of experience under fire.

Saints need to keep Tyjae Spears in New Orleans and don't let him leave like Matt Forte. Nobody talks about Tulane players but this kid has major talent.
If you didn't see the AAC Championship game or Cotton Bowl, you need to google his highlights. AK will more than likely be suspended 6-8 games. We will need a playmaker at RB.

He would be great value in the third round which is where I am seeing him currently projected. Although, I've read some mocks where he drops to the fourth round.

I don't think he's going to slip under the radar. They were just talking him up big time on NFL Radio down there at practice.

Spears better add on some bulk and hit the gym. He got trucked on that 1st play. Teams will pass on you if you can't pass-protect. Period.

I like the New Orleans Saints old strategy of swapping a tackle over to guard if he has the right tools. Why can't we just draft somebody and then play them at the position they played in college? Sometimes we're just too smart for our own good.

DT - Keenu Benton

Wisconsin

He holds up well to double teams. The "Penetrator".
Day 2 projection

I think it's more about what AG brought up about all the injuries to the starting O-linemen.

If they have a healthy line of Penning, Peat, McCoy, Ruiz and Ram - I think they can be a dominate line in pass pro and run blocking against most of the defensive fronts around the league. Even more so if they can get a replacement level rookie from the draft to take over for Peat.

I think I remember Ruiz bringing up in some interview how beneficial Strief's coaching had been for his development.

The first step in dealing with a problem and your process of healing is acknowledging that there is indeed a problem. The second step is discussing it with friends and family; and this is a safe space for you, Rugby.

A friend of mine would likely concur if he were here to offer...support:

Outside of Andrus Peat I don't have nearly the bad nightmares that I had dreaming about women. Not that there's anything wrong with that!

Rasheed Rice and Tyjae would super nice add-ons to the incompetent offensive we have might make it easier to call plays

Naturally, thanks to Roger Goodell and the owners greed, I don't get the game because it's on the NFL Network.

Well, former Saints, HC Sean Payton values him as a coach.

Zach joins Broncos

Will Strief be as good of an OL Coach for the Broncos as he was calling the games on WWL, I wonder?

All righty then. I'll take anything Sean Payton says as fact unless he's talking to the media. LOL

Seriously though, I know we were a Mash unit last year but I'm just trying to work through my head how we could be so bad.

We were last in the league in passing yardage. That's why. Dalton couldn't stretch the field or hit the open man and drops didn't help either.

That said, we only gave up 15 more points (345-330) on the entire season than we scored. That less than one point per game difference.

The best thing about the Pro Bowl are the skills challenges. Those are at least interesting.
