Just as secret as the other 12 head coaches that have no estimated salaries from their contract details. Go figure. If you aren't one of the highest paid coaches in the league your agent isn't going to be compelled to share any details. Honestly, what does it matter what our head coach is getting paid? It has been confirmed he signed a new contract when he got the job. Not that that even matters.

Chances are you'll not see any guesstimations until his next contract after our next couple of Lombardi's!

I am watching Sean’s press conference ( rerun) on the NFL Network now.

I am not surprised about him going to a new team. I am glad it is not DallasCowboys or a team in Saints division or conference.
This was calculated by Sean as he is very calculating , in a good way, that he left last year.
He has been gone .
It is just official now .
Last year gave fans to get used him being gone. Last year gave Mrs. Gayle and company a chance too. No doubt, of course, he told her and company earlier this year , 2023 or last fall, he was permanently gone.

Omg, I remember the very lean years of being a Saints fan. They won a game , one game, I think it was 1980, 1981.
Mid 1980s, they won a lot. The Burbon Street Bruisers defense line ( Jackdon, Mills, Swilling, and them ) and Anderson 3 pts x over. Conservative plays by Mora.
We thought it was GREAT fan fun times.
Hasset…..best to him wherever he is.

Sean and his staff, the lil qb with the bad arm from recent surgery….somebody named Brees….MAGIC. WHO KNEW!

It is. Big city, small town. Good fan base.
I lived there for about 2 years. When Broncos played, stores were kind of empty.
Of course , those were during their winning years .

I am happy, neutral, unbothered by Payton.
His life.
His young adult kids and the new, young Mrs Skylar will enjoy Denver and adventures in the Rockies.

Saints could very well do well. Higher up the draft, first round, second ok.
Better picks. However, you never know what guy lower in the draft is grateful and hungry and wants to do this thing.

Let's not forget that the Saints could deny access on any lateral coaching move. Then again, they could always offer us compensation like the 3rd rounder they got from us in the Payton rights trade. But we should hold out for two 1st's.

Now ur thinking right, 2 1st would be great, although I don't think Pete is really worth what we should have gotten for Payton. Payton really wants him he could pony up a 2nd, even next years would be good with me. I'm all about what we can get when we can get it. Loomy caved on Payton, he'll do the same if it comes to ole' Pete.

Sean Payton saw what he had in the QB room for New Orleans & bolted. Does anyone in their right mind think (yeah maybe one fool) he would taken "time off" & subsequent 1-year hiatus if Patrick Mahomes is your QB?

Halloween, I'm not so sure that Loomis caved on the Sean Payton contract. He took the best offer available and it was not what we wanted like the old John Gruden trade, but it got us back into the first round and we get a second round draft pick in exchange for our third round pick next year.

We got very little for Chauncey Gardner Johnson but we got rid of a locker room cancer. He was going to be disruptive if he didn't get his way so we moved him for the best offer available. Personally, I don't have a problem with that. I would have liked to have gotten more in exchange more but no teams made an offer.

Yeah. Gardener-Johnson was history as soon as he started arguing with coaches, refusing to practice, and yelling at the training staff. That was above and beyond his contract demands. If he wasn't traded he was going to get cut. Like you, Rugs, I'm just glad we got something for him.

I love what Sean Payton did for the New Orleans Saints and how he turned around our franchise bringing us a championship. However, he seems to be living too much in the media these days and I'm afraid he is setting himself up for failure if he is not immediately successful.

Not to mention he'll be playing catch up to Andy Reid and Mahomes until he folds yet again into retirement, not so dissimilar to how the Patriots dominated in their division all the years with Tom Brady.
