It's a shame they have to be poked and prodded to become multi-millionaires. I've seen it compared to slave auctions, which I think is funny, because these people want to be there in a bad way. Unlike slave auctions, where they were forced to be there. Big differences!


Please don't take that as a racist comment. That's not meant to be degradatory in any way other than those poor fellas have to suffer through that to become millionaires. How sad. The NFLPA has really done wonders to soften the sport. I would imagine they will be requesting Flags. Pink ones.

Ahh the scouting combine ... where teams momentarily overvalue timings and measurements and forsake stupid silly little things like game tape!

Yeah. The combine has become more of a fan event than a true evaluation of players. All of these players will be having pro days sooner or later. If the combines change any minds of the scouts then the scouts had been doing a pretty shoddy job to begin with.

The combine can be a useful tool for some players coming from smaller football programs. I see it as a means of confirmation.

Scouts have already done plenty of homework and evaluation beforehand.

99.9 percent rely on game action & not combine "hype".
