Former Saints guard Conrad Dobler Dies at 72
I can definitely remember Dobler with the Saints at right guard. His full year, 1979, was our first year without a losing record. We went 8-8 beating the division leading Rams in the final game of the season in Los Angeles.
Archie threw for over 3100 yards but only had 15 TD's and 20 picks. Chuck Muncie had almost 1200 yards rushing, however, and Tony Galbreath had over 700. They combined for 21 TD's. Dobler was known as the dirtiest player in the NFL. He was the player you loved on your team but hated on other teams. |
