"It's been a lifelong dream of mine to play in the NFL," Bresee said Thursday night on a conference call with New Orleans media. He seems to have really good tackling form for a big. It's hard to evaluate run stuffing from Youtube highlights, but hopefully he is quite good at it.

Let’s start with stay healthy and available to play. Lots of our first round picks have trouble with even that.

This is the most common wish by every fan on every team for every player.

352 players landed on the IR list across the league last year. We had ten. Half the league had more than us. Arizona had 18 and Denver had 22.

The amount of crying about them not picking a 240lb edge rusher and taking this kid is hilarious. He makes sense as the kid from talent and need. The Saints were never taking Smith

Damn, he's a natural-born junkyard dawg :biggun:

Easy to see why he was a 5 star recruit coming out of high school. The dude is slamming folks like he's playing with his younger brothers.

I love the nastiness, violent hand technique, & quickness.

... but... I was told he's not worth it at 29 and that he's a reach and a walking injury... and that the Saints effed up. SP told me so too. :bugeyes:

He's going to be a beast in New Orleans. Book it! I'm not worried about his health because he doesn't have a significant injury history. He says the knee and shoulder are fine and I feel good about this young man. The secondary is going to feed with the pressure he gets in the back field.

Yep, yep.

Gotta be patient with DTs at this level.

If you peel back the onion and truly watch Bryan, his swim & chop moves are well advanced for a man of his size.

I like the pick.

I'm still somewhat surprised that some people are upset that we passed over an undersized DT, a few project DT's, a DT that didn't meet our draft profile, or a DT that belonged in a 3-4 defensive front. I wanted Mazi Smith but I believe that Bresee will have an impact this year and for another contract or two. I ain't mad, skeered or disappointed. For a change, I'm really happy about our pick.

It's an invigorating feeling because the more film I watch and the more I read about Bresee the happier I become. :banana:
