We’re moving on up to the third round
For a deluxe position in the third … yes siree.

We've got the ammo now and an itchy trigger finger. If we don't use our mid round picks to move up into the upper rounds like this year then we'll have the picks to move back on day three for players who fell in the draft. Nick Saldiveri started the on run linemen and wasn't there a late run on QB's and WR's? We drafted smarter and more methodically than any recent draft.

I think the third round is significant, I hate not having one there.. but everything else seems nice. I particularly like the third round cause I feel it's where some of the greatest players that get overlooked end up. I feel like the first 2 rounds often have surprises but ultimately follow a pretty straightforward narrative. The third round has a great amount of volatility and high-risk v.s. high reward type players.

Instead of that saying "8 picks currently projected", it should say "here are the 8 picks Loomis will be doing his best to trade".

Must admit when I saw the pick labeled as "1st (their own)" my first thought was... for now.

It will be easy enough to move up into the third if they see someone they really want.

Maybe our two fourth round picks can get us back into the third. Three sixth round draft picks might get us back into the fourth round. Regardless, I see us using late picks to move up for players who fall within striking range like we did this year.

That means the Niners will get 9 including a second rounder right before whatever ours will be!
