I would be willing to trade Andrus Peat to settle this. I think the merits of this claim and the value of his contract are very proportional.

Per filings, the Bucs claim they were the first to use the term KREWE.

The Krewes of Rex, Comus and Proteus origins date back to the 1800's. Way before the Yuks came into existence. All Mardi Gras Krewes should counter sue the city of Tampa Bay, The Football Team, The NFL (Just Because) for copyright infringement. One Krewe at a time!!! :jester: :jester: :jester:

Should have never changed the name from Saintsations, so in a way I hope the Bucs win.

They made the name change because they went from an almost exclusively dance oriented squad (with a token male or two) to a more traditional college type cheer squad with about a dozen male cheerleaders to help with the acrobatic stunts (lifts and throws). Personally, I think they are much better now, at least watching from the stands.

Since the Bucs can't beat us playing football they've decided to sue the Saints for "bragging rights" to try and feel good about themselves. Crew or Krewe? Semantics is usually good for a fun filled court battle if you've got an entertaining lawyer. If they need an attorney my cousin Vinny is a lawyer. :p
