I am as excited to see the backups as I am to see the starters out here against KC. This year I believe depth is the key to success and this is where we can get our first good look at them.

My twin bother wants me to go to a pickleball tournament with him and miss the second half. He said it's only preseason. :roll: He's just a fan....not a fanatic like me. I'll be glued to the TV with my roster handy so I can learn the players numbers. I won't commit them to memory until after the cutdown date when I only need to know half as many. :p

I wouldn't call any of those truly "injuries" at this point. At least not from DA is saying. Besides, I believe Tre'Quan has played more games than any WR on the roster over the past five years. He's our ironman at the position. :D

We'll use this here thread for the pre & post game comments. I created the usual game day thread.

Should be an interesting game, even if the Saints lose. This is after all a talent evaluation game. Still, with Carr playing for the first time as a Saints QB, we're all a bit anxious to see what this might look like with the retooling.

No reason to put anyone out there that isn't needed at this point. Merritt, James, and Krull are the only ones fighting for a spot, I feel.

Overall decent game... work in progress. It's not a positive thing to be scored on 24 straight points after leading by 17. Film study to try and separate the better players.
