I don't think he's been traveling or practicing with the team for weeks now

Or perhaps Keith Kirkwood.

He’s had a good camp.

It’s kind of ridiculous that a national broadcast NFL game is so pro Houston.

Did Krull redeem himself?

Kirklin is also a special teamers.

I'll call it now... Grupe just made the team.
There's no worry or wonder if Lutz is going to make it

Rugby Saint II 08-27-2023 09:36 PM

Re: Saints vs. Texans Preseason Game Day Thread

Grupe might force us to take a draft pick from Payton for Lutz. :p

Win or lose, I’m happy to see the penalties cleaned up.

Krull may have indeed redeemed himself.

Merriweather for the long run.

Davis drops a few more , he's practice squad bound.

Krull is probably auditioning for another team.

TE room is full.

Lutz just took his first breath since Grupe kicked the last one.

Re: Saints vs. Texans Preseason Game Day Thread

Grupe misses the 60 yarder... he had the leg but not the accuracy there. What would Lutz have done ?

Then PS for when another TE gets injured.

I don't think we can sneak Krull onto the practice squad now Not after tonight's game.

Tough throw into coverage by Haener. I am sure he wished he had that one back.

Depends on what the "Groupie" is into.
Way back in the 60's the term was derogatory, describing young women (Now days "special" dudes) who follow these individuals aiming to initiate a sexual encounter with them or to offer them sex quid pro quo.

Grand Funk Railroad "We're An American Band"

Sweet, sweet Connie (Connie Hamzy) a doin' her act
She had the whole show and that's a natural fact

There was a big change this off-season in the TV packaging between FOX and CBS. In the recent past CBS has covered exclusively all AFC vs AFC games and NFC vs AFC games played at the AFC home. Visa versa for FOX and the NFC. That's all changing now. For the first time FOX will also be carrying AFC hosted games and they have several Texans games starting up their broadcast season. I think all of the attention being given to the Houston team was self promotion more than anything. It was clearly weighted toward the Texans, but I really think that explains their approach.

I guess.

He'll need to clean up on the drops. Hands needs work.
It's time to get familiar with a jugs machine.

I'd find a spot for Ugo Amadi and Niko Lalos on that 53.

I cannot stress how important special teams will be down the stretch & subsequent post season.

Both are scrappy & can contribute on kickoffs/punt coverage.

Sorry. Apparently, 3Q made the trip this time. Is he getting a roster spot?

Glad Baldy broke this down. Bryan weighs 300+. This man is extremely light on his feet and has sound technique. He's gonna be a problem when he puts it all together.

Check out that clip Smash posted today with Ross's final 53.

He has 5 spots @ WR. MT, Olave, Shaheed, AT Perry & Kirkwood.

P/S candidate > Shaq Davis.

Speaking of practice squad candidates, I'd like to see Jontre Kirklin develop more.

He showed some good things @ camp & last 2 pre season games.
