About 40% of that is Carr's base salary of $30 million which will be converted which would free up $22.5 million in one move. Ramczyk, Lattimore, Kamara, Jordan, and Davis will more than make up for the rest. After that there's an additional $40 or so that can be cleared easily for upgrades.

It matters not to the players. They're getting paid the same amounts on the same schedule. How and when that is accounted for doesn't affect them personally. As for the team, they get to maximize cap efficiency by accounting for previous expenditures in latter periods when they are a smaller percentage of the cap. Good for the team.
But, that is just my opinion. ![]() |
