He is within a couple years of the age that the vast majority of elite cornerbacks begin to decline rapidly. He plays well when he feels like it. As part of a rebuild, he would be a good player to trade to clean up the cap and get return. It would be good to see what Taylor, Adebo, and Yiadom could do without him. I am sure he has some dates circles on his calendar when we play more famous opposing receivers when he will play better.

Was excited in Preseason, not anymore.

It's not that Dennis Allen does not have what it takes to be a head coach. It's that he does not have what it takes to be a head coach in the NFL. By not firing him, we are holding him back from achieving his full potential in the XFL, Arena ball, a lower tier NCAA program, or as a long term defensive coordinator. We need to start doing the right thing for our coaches and putting them in a position to succeed, in this case by firing most of them. Come on Gayle, have a heart.
