I would be reasonable in trade demands looking at comps for trading good middle aged backups. Doing right by your players such as giving them opportunities to play for contenders not warm the bench builds a better culture and benefits our team too. I would ask for draft pick/s which can be used to acquire offensive linemen in the draft. We have enough bloated veteran contracts. Honestly with Kamara back we could trade them Williams too if they wanted.

He's a good dude but he simply isn't going to take the Saints to the next level. Time to say goodbye and get a draft pick for next year.

Just read an article about the compensations for other QBs in recent trades. Looks like a 5th is about average. Unless they can throw in a 6th or 7th to the Vikings to get a 4th.

I'm afraid what the Saints want and what the Vikings are willing to part with will be too far apart, especially since the Saints would be content to keep him on the roster.

Think about this first. Currently vikings and saints are 4&4. Does trading Winston give the vikings an advantage to make the playoffs ahead of us? Right now we are tied for a wildcard with the vikings. I'm not saying the saints will make the playoffs but would hate to miss it because of Winston trade.

Apparently this guy has been making up stuff for years, so was just doing it for the clicks.

No one here knows what goes on in the locker room but from what I've seen it appears that Winston took less money to be on this team this past offseason and many of the players seem to like him. It might not be a bad thing to keep him in New Orleans.

Head scratcher for me but WR is probably the least of the Saints concerns. If you were in fact looking to "trade", why not go after a guy in those trenches (Oline) or another DE? Not sure how many are watching but we need more pass rushers.

That does seem absurd. That might've been a trade idea based on emotions rather than need. From the outside looking in it appears to be the M.O. these days. Hiring DA and Pete Carmichael were likely emotional hirings.
