Grateful For Miss Gayle

All too often we see NFL owners mismanage dysfunctional organizations for decades. Even for generations. We see corporate run organizations where the fans make the decisions for the owners based on seating where there is no continuity. And then we have family run organizations like the Saints who have ownership that lets management work their long term plan without meddling in the day to day affairs. They have people to do that who they trust to make the right decision.

Tom Benson changed his approach from a used car salesman when he bought the franchize to a deep pocket approach and won a Superbowl and gave us one of the best records in the NFL's recent history. When he passed away Gayle Benson kept the same approach and stayed hands off while investing heavily in our Saints. That does not mean that she is Checked Out though.

I feel like Gayle Benson is a lovely lady who represents the city of New Orleans very well and would rather have her charm representing us rather than any other owner. Remember, Gayle isn't embroiled in some kind of scandal like other franchises frequently are.

Does she have the right people in the house? That's a topic for another thread. This is a thread about being grateful for Miss Gayle. Who Dat!

And for every other thread, every other forum, and every other team, it’s about WINNING FOOTBALL GAMES. Imagine that…

I hope that if Gayle ever wises up to how Loomis, Loushka, and Allen are stealing their paychecks with their shoddy work, all her donations to the church give her enough pull to get them all excommunicated.

I don't believe Loomis is Catholic so excommunication isn't an option, Bako. Sorry. I know he attended a school affiliated with Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in Oregon where he was raised. It appears, unlike south Louisiana, only 12% of Oregon residents are Catholic. Protestants account for 43% of church members. The rest are heathens. LOL!

All ideologies aside, as a General Manager, he can go straight to hell.

Hands off means that you let someone else drive and just make sure the car stays between the lines.

She is not hands off, she is clueless. In this movie, the team is Wagon Queen Family Truckster, Loomis is Clark, and we have blown through all the obvious signs and are now careening through the air with no control of our destination.
