There’s that pat on the back for needledick Allen, that will bring more of the same pleasure to you for a few more years. Yayyyy!

Exactly.

Yet only one team in the history of the league has won every game. Go figure.

Objectively, that is not true. There are some games that are more important that others. In approximate order of importance:

1) Division games. Head to head in the division and then division record are the 1st two tiebreakers in the division.

2) Common opponents. Important because teams in a division share 12 out of 17 opponents (4 in the division, 8 inter and intra conference games)

3) Conference opponents. Conference record is used for wildcard tiebreakers.

So, for example the Giants game simply isn't as important as a Failclows game as no one else in the division played the Giants.

Beating the Failclowns the first time would have secured the division. It was a must win. Beating the Rams? Not so much as it's only in category 3 above.

It's official now. Payton Turner has been activated from IR to the active roster and is expected to play. We can use a fresh motor in the pass rush for this game and our playoff run.

Well, the good news is that if Dennis Allen is here for a few more years then he figured things out and we're winning.

The bad news is that the New Orleans Saints have never in their history fired a coach after two seasons. DA will be back to start the season. However, PC won't be back and we will have a new OC. If we're lucky, the new OC is an Alpha who takes control of the offense and the team rallies around him.

If Dennis Allen is here a few more years, it could also mean he has naked pictures of Mickey Loomis and Dennis Louseka.

It seems likely that an offensive coordinator with leadership skills could succeed behind a head coach without any. Such an offensive coordinator might assert authority and bench Carr if he struggles, Ram if he is playing too hurt, or Renfrow if he is washed but Loomis trades for him to 'win now' and 'get more Raiders', but then that offensive coordinator would likely be overruled by Loomis and Allen for contradicting their master moves and making them look bad, and would lose all authority and no longer be able to leader. The only way an assistant coach could solve our problems would be if they were such a strong leader that they could effectively convince Allen and Loomis to defer to them, in which case we would have a new head coach and GM, which is what we actually need.

I guess it all boils down to, can Mickey Loomis find a qualified OC? He looked the last two years during the offseason and we couldn't find anyone better than PC. What makes this year different?

Bottom line is, if this Head Coach makes me yawn, I can only imagine the effect he has on the Players. Actually, I don’t have to imagine it.
