N/S but such complete BS that I'm posting about it here

The 49er's practice field having a hardness level in the 50s is BS to the highest degree. The conspiracy about the NFL wanting the Chiefs to win and trying to make them is becoming more and more likely with each passing day. When one team can't practice properly and the other team can, this is wrong. I can't believe I'm about to say this, but I hope the 49ers smack the hell out of the Chiefs and disappoints the league.

No conspiracy. I heard today that the Raiders specifically offered up their practice facility to the Chiefs because they were division and conference mates. The league office had nothing whatsoever to do with it. As the visiting conference representative the Niners got sloppy seconds ... UNLV. Nothing more, nothing less.

Next year the AFC champion will have to use the Tulane facility, most likely, and the Saints, or the NFC rep, will use the Saints Metairie facility.

Oh, and I hate the 49er's so much that I wish the NFL would fix the game against them. No chance of that happening, but I'm expecting a Chiefs win anyway.

As I have posted an entire thread about it, it’s SHOW BUI$NE$$. And with Saylor Twift orchestrated into the equation, the targeted market demographics that are being manipulated, as well as the politicizing, makes this one of the most (if not THE MOST) lucrative extended advertising campaigns in the history of entertainment. Conspiracy indeed.

Non Saints, as well, but another reason why Joe "Cool" was so cool. The one 49er that it was hard to hate.

Theatrics aside, Joe cool, very much like (Mahomes), PERFORMED at an almost godly level ON THE FIELD, unlike anyone we’ve seen at the QB position for the Saints, since Brees. Makes all the difference in the world.

Facts.

Mahomes, Highland Park, Brady, Mahomes, JBurrow, Brady, Ben R, Foles, Brady, Manning, Brady, Wilson, Manning (Eli), ARod & Brees, Kurt Warner etc.

History does tell us you must have damn near ELITE QB play to even sniff the big boy bowl ;).

Most of those SP defenses failed Brees. He should have at least 2 rings :bng:

Derek Carmaxx has work to do ... *welp*

Chiefs need to get this W.

I don't want Klint coming here and showing us his 49ers championship ring :disgust:

Easy Tiger… Love ‘em or hate em, “the little panty waists that they are” could take our Saints to the Cleaners every Sunday (and any Thursday Night) until Lady Gayle’s Funeral, and possibly beyond.

You know if this was us and we got that practice field, we'd all be *****ing cause it's unfair.

I'll guarantee you that Super Bowl teams have practiced on far worse fields in the past. How bad is it anyway? The only thing I have heard or read is that SF "prefers it firmer".

This is simply the media looking to make a story out of anything they can. Hell, they've blown the whole Taylor Swift thing out of proportion. I heard the total time she was on camera in the game she was seen most was something like 24 seconds.

49ers to 'deal with' soft practice field, won't alter schedule

"We're not going to completely change our schedule and do something crazy," Shanahan said. "We'll deal with what we got."

Multiple 49ers players noted Monday night that the playing surface at UNLV felt "a little soft" during the walk-through. Players such as end Nick Bosa and tight end George Kittle have been outspoken proponents of player safety when it comes to the surfaces, but that has generally been aimed at stadiums with artificial turf.

This is the second consecutive year that a Super Bowl or Super Bowl-related playing surface has come under the microscope. It was a storyline after last year's Super Bowl in Glendale, Arizona, when a slick field caused footing problems for the Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles . The field at Allegiant Stadium for Sunday's matchup is a sod surface that will be rolled in from outside before the game.

Despite their displeasure with the UNLV fields, the 49ers didn't want to make it more of an issue on Monday night, noting that practice and the game are two different things.

"We're not playing on it, so we're not tripping," cornerback Charvarius Ward said. "I'm not concerned at all. I can run full speed at any surface. I played football on the street as a kid."

Let's not forget that football is no longer a sport. It's entertainment and the NFL is going after the younger audience too and Taylor Swift is a big draw.

Let's see you try to convince any player in the league that the game is no longer a sport. LOL!

No. It's still a sport, but just the biggest grossing sport in the world. Yet, it is also entertainment. One of the reasons why the NFL continues to explode in popularity is indeed its ability to target new and different audiences. MLB could learn a few lessons from the NFL. You have to identify with the newer younger audiences. You have to bring in more female fans. I know there's already female fans, but it has still been marketed far more to the guys for decades which made sense when the man was the breadwinner. That is no longer the fact.

Ok try this: Sit Alvin Kamara down and have him watch som old footage of Larry Czonka or Marion Barber (RIP) or even that dreaded Marshawn Lynch play against us just a few years back, and compare any of that to AK footage from this year, and he’ll be the first to tells you through his big beautiful smile, that he gets paid to ENTERTAIN, and that he’s barely even been doing that recently… but my Brother’s still GETTIN PAID BIG. Have Derek Carr watch film of Terry Bradshaw, Marino, Montana, or Drew Brees, and he’d have to admit that he himself shouldn’t even be wearing a Saints uniform, let alone command half the salary he’s receiving.

You are defending a business model that moves the money from your wallet to advertisers, through the guise of tremendous athletes who are operating at a minuscule fraction of their physical potential, in a franchise that has become irrelevant in a league of better managed and coached entertainers. You are supporting the entertainment business, more than the game of football, and this is where the game of football is at.
