But bringing in a huge number of fringe fans. Just another reason why the NFL will continue to grow at a huge rate. They see opportunities and grab hold. I just wish they could have gone public ages ago so I could have had some of the stock. :D

LOL! Everybody is making light of it. Once the game starts the game will be everything. Last year it was all Jason and Travis' mom pre-game. Every year it's something peripheral in the two week lead in.

I simply cannot pull for the Niners after all of those years in the same division. Added to that McCaffrey and it a slam dunk. I'm not pulling for the Chiefs, but with every ounce of my being I want the Niners to lose this one.

All in all that was an entertaining game. KC won because of Mahomes. SF failed to win because Purdy isn't a Mahomes. McCaffrey was their whole offense. It was as if KC decided that McCaffrey was going to get his, but if they limit everyone else they'd have their best chance. Kittle and Samuel were both shut down.

I was hoping we'd have more Taylor, but it is what it is. ;)

You got that right. The best referees are the ones that you can't name.

Selfishly, I was encouraged by how easily the 49ers were moving the ball on KC much of the game. I really hope that Kubiak and all of the coaches he brings with him to New Orleans will bring this style and knowledge and have similar success with Carr and this offense.

I sure hope Kubiak brings all the good things he has learned over the years, and absolutely forgets Kyle Shanahan's crappy play calling in big games.

I thought Shanahan called a good game apart from a few drives where they got pass happy with too much shotgun. The special teams and the untimely McCaffrey fumble were the undoing of the 49ers.



Side comment - Empty shotgun formations are becoming suicide in the NFL. Unless you have a quick high/low read throwing on timing or it's a bubble screen it's a disaster waiting to happen.

Yeah Niner nation can't be all that mad with the offense.

They got in 30 rushing attempts, 8 for McCaffery on that last drive.

Mahomes made more plays late. Elite of the elite.

X factor that not many are mentioning is that KC pass rush. It was consistent most of the game.

This is where the Saints MUST improve in 2024. Payton Turner, WTFoskey etc ... Granderson needs help.

Feels like we already picked up 2 potential 2024 pass rushers in Turner and Foskey, since they barely played yet.
