They made the right choice
Bringing in a young QB to likely sit for a year would be a disaster especially as it would likely have cost next years number 1, and if they didn't fix the line it would be a top 6 pick.

Baldy begs to differ... his analysis reveals that Fuaga is stronger than Alt is. Film shows that he was pushing around fellow #1 draft pick UCLA's Latu like a rag doll.

I’ll just say this:

I wanted DeShaun Watson. Folks didn’t like him.
I wanted Lamar Jackson. Folks didn’t like him.
I wanted CJ Stroud. Folks didn’t like him.

Hopefully I’m wrong about Penix because the other three went to the SEC. This one is in our division. 🥲

2 out of 3 ain't bad.. DW is a disaster. Lamar may have reached his ceiling, but good call. CP mouthed off on him. CJ Stroud looks good so far.

What about JD5?

None of the picks do anything without some beef up front.

I believe that Fuaga was the BPA on the board even with every defensive player left to choose from. He is the type of player that the Saints desperately need now.

Knock on wood. He's got experience in the zone scheme that Kubiak likes. He didn't allow a sack last year. He has been healthy throughout college. He is a leader of men and has been team captain. He is a student of the game and really studies film so he is always prepared for contingencies. He is as strong as they come and he's mobile.

Wait...there's more! He's the kind of man that sets the tone in the locker room. He's quiet but he's well respected. His college coach loves the guy and praises him nonstop! :biggun:
