17 games, constant trauma to the knee just won't get better over time.

His overall quality of life could be in jeopardy.
Ramz is likely done. Possibly placed on PUP, then retire.

It was a nice ride though ...

Hate it for the team, but Ram has paid his dues. Time to think about life after football! Best of Luck to him and his family!

He got the most out of his body when he was drafted. He almost didn't play when we drafted him. But he set himself up for financial independence.

We appreciate your contributions, Ramz. One of the better ones to come along.

I wonder if Holker could back up Taysom Hill on some designed plays. I am skeptical of designing a lot of plays for Taysom Hill because as his utilization goes up, especially in the backfield, I think his chance of injury will go up too. Taysom Hill is an enigma because he has been much healthier and more durable after turning 30 than before, but at the same time his utilization has been lower, frustrating his fans. If his utilization is suddenly increased again at 34yo and he becomes integral to the offense, you would want a backup for that role.

I suspect we are going to be seeing Taysom in a combination of the Deebo Samuel, George Kittle, and Kyle Juszczyk roles. I can't see Holker handling all of that. But, he could possibly handle that Kittle role alone. That in itself would be very valuable.
