Carolina probably wants this game more than we do, or at least we're probably taking it for granted that they're an inferior team. I believe Payton used to comment on these types of games saying "don't eat the cheese". If Carolina could pick a week to beat us, it would be week 1 of the new season. I still think we'll probably win, but an upset isn't out of the question. |

Re: Week One: Panthers @ Saints
I really think this Panthers' team is being a tad bit overhyped here. They were the worst team in the league last year by a decent margin. They've done little to improve much. They just claimed six players off of waivers meaning they have to cut six players from their 53 man roster to make room. Three of the six were CB's. We should win this game and win it easily. Yet I expect our Saints to come out firing on all cylinders.

Are you hoping we lose just so you can say, "I told you so?" Can you not ever hope for the best? I can handle bad news if it happens, but I see nothing to gain by obsessing over the possibility. |

Anyway, as I’ve written in another thread, even after an asteroid strike, Dennis Allen would still be Head Coach, so you’d be cool. |
