You're an astute individual. Curious to know what gives you that sense other than just a gut feeling

1st game of the year so both teams will be trying to find out what works and what doesn't. 1st games are pretty sloppy and a mistake here and there can cost you a game.

Carolina probably wants this game more than we do, or at least we're probably taking it for granted that they're an inferior team. I believe Payton used to comment on these types of games saying "don't eat the cheese".

If Carolina could pick a week to beat us, it would be week 1 of the new season.

I still think we'll probably win, but an upset isn't out of the question.

I really think this Panthers' team is being a tad bit overhyped here. They were the worst team in the league last year by a decent margin. They've done little to improve much. They just claimed six players off of waivers meaning they have to cut six players from their 53 man roster to make room. Three of the six were CB's. We should win this game and win it easily. Yet I expect our Saints to come out firing on all cylinders.

Based on your perspective, and everything you wrote, if we LOSE this one…

Of course it would be bad news. So would a asteroid hitting the Superdome during the game. (Damn! My wife and I would be dead.) Neither are expected unless you are extremely pessimistic.

Are you hoping we lose just so you can say, "I told you so?" Can you not ever hope for the best?

I can handle bad news if it happens, but I see nothing to gain by obsessing over the possibility.

An asteroid would be different. That wouldn’t happen because of us $ucking badly… at least I hope not. Sincerely.

Anyway, as I’ve written in another thread, even after an asteroid strike, Dennis Allen would still be Head Coach, so you’d be cool.

I really don't care who's coach. That's above my pay scale as a fan. I'm simply going to support my team no matter what. If Allen was fired tomorrow I'd throw my support to the team just as heartily. You see, I know I have no control over who happens to be coach. No more so than you or any other fan. Rather than stressing over it and pissing off a whole forum by constantly *****ing I take it in stride.

Who Dat and on to the Panties!!
