Actually it's only a tad over 1% percent of his adjusted (restructured) annual income of $1.21 million. It was really only .037% of his average salary.

But, yes, pretty silly but at least it all goes to Carr's charity of choice.

Because Carr restructured his contract this offseason to play on a veteran minimum salary in exchange for receiving a hefty signing bonus, he’s only getting $71,176 in weekly game checks during the season. So about a fifth of his Week 2 paycheck is going to cover this fine.

Speaking of.... Has Drake London received a fine for his "celebration" just a few days after several were killed in a school shooting just outside of Atlanta?

Or are we just hurt by Carr's moves?

Carr is having fun and winning Saints fans over. It was a silly celebration but fine with me. At least he didn't go Hingle McKringleberry like Lance Moore. The horror!

Fine amounts are defined by the CBA and not arbitrary.

LOL! I loved the Lance Moore one, too. Go ahead and have fun. There was no penalty on Carr and the minimal fine goes to Carr's designated charity so who should really care. Carr probably drops more than that in the virtual offering plate every Sunday.

The NFL should be mad that "America's team" got their asses smoked & embarassed on national tv.

This popped up on fb and in the comments there were a ton of cowboys fans that didn’t have a problem with it either. It’s all in fun and I like that our team has some cocky swagger to them. It’s definitely refreshing to see after the last couple of years
As long as these things hit their pocket books and not costly penalties I’m good with it

• Hardly a No Fun League Off The Wall reaction. Yes, arguably a part of David Carr’s dance-ting was Bad. But hardly Dangerous to the populus. But hey David Carr. I am sure you don’t need me to tell you to not let the NFL ruin One Day in Your Life. End of my Anthology (using Michael Jackson albums) on the matter.

What now for David Carr and the Saints?

Seems to me I saw plenty of crotch-grabbing at last season’s SB Halftime show. Hypocrisy in action to fine Carr for that.

I read that Jackson himself did the crotch grab NINE times during his halftime show at the 2003 Super Bowl.
