AK on the report huh 🤔? …

At least we have the young gun Kendre Miller … oh wait, he’s on IR.

I share Dennis Allen’s frustration here on availability.

On the report doesn't mean he won't play. He doesn't need to practice. Underhill seems to think he'll probably play.

Ruiz worries me the most. If Patrick stays at Center, that leaves Udoh at LG and Saldiveri/Young at RG. Atlanta is going to pressure the middle.

With too much pressure up the middle it could play into the hands of Kubiak's outside zone. We have to get that run going so we can use play action where Carr excels.

Besides, I'm really thinking they may put Lemieux at center after activating him from the practice squad. Lemieux spent most of the preseason working at center. It makes sense that they would use either Patrick or Ruiz as emergency "in game" backups at center, but with McCoy out use Lemieux on the long term basis keeping (hopefully) Patrick and Ruiz at their normal positions.

Reading between the lines on a Twitter post by Underhill yesterday, it doesn't appear we will have Demario or Ruiz vs Atlanta.

Kamara is going to give it a go with a broken rib.

That backup O line + Philly's vaunted defensive front beat us up last week.

It’s a physical game. Team injuries can be as important as talent, coaching, TOs, or the refs.

Leading up to the draft I contended that we should select oline with every pick. So far, it does not look like that would have been a bad strategy.

Assuming, of course, there were enough bodies to draft with every pick. Here's every offensive lineman drafted and round just for curiosity sake. By the way, 55 total drafted.

Olave suffered an injury at practice today.

We will see how serious.

Demario Davis is actually human. Never would have thunk it.

Any speculation what the LB corps will look like without him? Werner and Gay with 3 safties?

I'm expecting the same look as usual. We run the nickel about 80% of the time, so instead of Davis and Werner it will be Gay and Werner with Lattimore, Adebo, and Taylor at nickel. On those rare occasions when we run with the base 4-3 I suspect it'll be Orji in there with Gay and Werner.

I believe it was Triplett who said earlier this week that LB was the one grouping where we had the depth to cover pretty sufficiently.

Good lord honestly, what is going on with this team?

We'd be better off not practicing all week.

At least the first 2 weeks were fun....

Nothing any different than any other team in the league right now. Welcome to today's NFL.

For what its worth here are their pff scores on the season:

Davis: 73.2
Werner: 68.6
Gay 51.2
Orji: 73.5

And Davis is the heartbeat of that defense. We need him back and playing well.

I still like the Kool-aid pick. Otherwise I agree so far.
