|
Re: Saints vs Falcons Game Day Thread
Handing a bad team points constantly, the first 2 weeks were a definite fluke.
It's a shame, we seemed to have turned a corner, but it's the same team as last year |
Re: Saints vs Falcons Game Day Thread
No Kackala I’m NOT OK the Saints are playing with their heads up their arse
|

Report from Nick Underhill, Taysom has been taken to the locker room.
**** this team in every way |
Re: Saints vs Falcons Game Day Thread
I am at a place that is not showing the game so I only see highlights on NFL network.
These games….I do not know whether to go n watch the whole game or just wait to see what the Saints do and watch the rerun later in the week. |
Re: Saints vs Falcons Game Day Thread
Well it’s obvious this one will be kept close. I’m tuning out until 2:50 and will come back to see who’s in the script to win this week

Re: Saints vs Falcons Game Day Thread
I think we may have a mismatch of scheme and personnel. Klint Kubiak wants to get the offense in a fist fight and dominate physically but a lot of our offense are speed and finesse guys left over from Payton and Carmichael, while Taysom Hill is 34 years old. It worked until the injuries stacked up. Ultimately Kubiak may be a good OC who needs more maulers to get more consistent results. I just don't think our offense has a ton of maulers.

Re: Saints vs Falcons Game Day Thread
NCPanters are just 1 pt down, no. Now tied with CinBengals. 14-14

Re: Saints vs Falcons Game Day Thread
TB Bucs 28 to Eagles like 7.
|
Re: Saints vs Falcons Game Day Thread
Derek Carr needs to CHILL OUT when blitzed. His judgement is poor last week and this week.
|
Re: Saints vs Falcons Game Day Thread
Ugh, getting pretty sick of this team constantly looking like this.

Derek is rattled and doesn't hide it well at all. Looks completely out of control. Offense looks erratic and like they have no clue what to do yet again |
Re: Saints vs Falcons Game Day Thread
This roller coaster act with Carr is getting old.
|
Re: Saints vs Falcons Game Day Thread
Harbaugh has done a good job punting the ball today. That end over end was beautiful
|
Re: Saints vs Falcons Game Day Thread
The Saints made two mistakes, which cost us.
That's the only reason why the Falcons are leading. Control the time of possession (avg 5.2 running) in the second half and we win. |
Re: Saints vs Falcons Game Day Thread
Offense has ground to a halt after that pick.

Re: Saints vs Falcons Game Day Thread
The most frustrating thing, is the refs have pretty much been on our side and extended drives for us, and we've still done nothing
|
Re: Saints vs Falcons Game Day Thread
Play the same game in the second half and cut out the dumb turnovers and we win this game by double digits. Turnovers are the devil.

Pathetic, absolutely pathetic
|
Re: Saints vs Falcons Game Day Thread
the saints are who they THOUGHT we were…
|
Re: Saints vs Falcons Game Day Thread
I don't understand how we can consistently suck like this after how we looked in the first 2 weeks.
Think Panthers would beat us in this state |

Rasheed Shaheed is kind of like the cheaper plastic version of Tyreek Hill, all the speed and moves but fails the crash test rating, and we try to use him like Deebo Samuel because he doesnt have time to get open on deep plays. With this kind of usage Shaheed will never stay healthy all year, but we dont have depth behind him and Olave. A good way to think of Shaheed right now may be Desean Jackson playing Deebo Samuel. We gave guaranteed borderline starter money to both Johnson and Moreau at TE before Kubiak arrived, and neither are really maulers, and with the money going to Hill too who is a TE on paper, we could not afford to spend any money or picks on a more physical TE, or even really to give a guy like Holker much playing time without people calling out why we are paying the other guys and not using them. Kamara is a slick shifty RB but is not a mauler. He has always been used sparingly as a runner and tried to avoid hits. He is also getting older. Using him as a centerpiece to pound the ball is not sustainable so Hill has to share that duty too. We need to spread out the defense for Kamara to be at his best but we cant do that if our deep threats dont have time to get open. We can only give our deep threats time to get open by establishing the run, but that involves pounding the ball with Kamara even though its not his strong suit, since our oline cannot pass protect well. Olave is a speedy craftsman at receiver. He is not built to be physical. But he is a recent 1st round pick we can't afford to replace. Jamaal Williams is an older RB who seems to lack both speed and power. He is a player who has experience and can run through wide open holes or pick up blocks. Taysom Hill clearly outperforms him on both speed and power. But the team gave Williams 2 years of guaranteed money. Ultimately if Taysom Hill has to play the mauler role for the entire offense at age 34 he will never stay healthy. |
Re: Saints vs Falcons Game Day Thread
How can we not hit Kirk, he's playing on one leg
