Observations from Saints loss at Chargers
They were the best of times; they were the worst of times. This year's incarnation of the New Orleans Saints definitely reminds us of the worst of times.
After starting 2-0, the Saints have now dropped 6 straight games and fall to 0-6. Sure, it was a hard-fought game, sure there were injuries, sure we missed key opportunities, sure we got flags because because.... but in the end... THE SAINTS HAVE LOST 6 GAMES IN A ROW FOR THE FIRST TIME SINCE 2005. Is this the worst of times... again?? |

Y’all don’t wanna hear it, but I’m saying that the divine Lady Miss Gayle is the problem. We got a big problem.

I really don’t understand what your goal is by saying this. I get that you’re upset. But whats your end game? I think everyone hopes DA gets fired. I think most fans are on that boat. I feel like it’s gonna happen at the end of the season at the very latest. (Hopefully) |

Someone said it earlier. Maybe Bill B is perfect for this franchise. He’s a good guy to take over a team that has management/owners that have no idea how to run a team.

The problem is, I think Bill likes his new role as guest/special commentator on Manningcast and other platforms. Bill's a hard guy to read but it sure doesn't look like he has the itch to come back. For what it's worth, I think he's more interesting to hear from then Tom Brady. |

I see fellow fans ponder/discuss/argue what moves should be made without consideration for the fact that no one within the organization is motivated to make any moves. The Org Chart: Gayle Benson: Tom wrote out his daughter and grandchildren so Gayle is the sole beneficiary of his estate which includes Saints and Pelicans. She has zero children, worth $6.1BN, and has zero passion for football. She has already outlined her intent to launch a foundation that would donate the proceeds of the teams’ eventual sale to charitable causes in south-east Louisiana and the surrounding region. Mickey Loomis: Mickey is named in Tom Benson's will as second Executor in line for Tom Benson's estate. Even if you fire him, he has the best seat at the table eventually. If Loomis were interested in a quality head coach he would have gone to a headhunter, someone that does this for a living, instead of having the proverbial locker room pick the next head coach. I still do not get how this got around the Rooney Rule... Well, I know how but those interviews were a waste of the candidates time. When you pick from within, that is the intent from the start. Dennis Allen: If Allen had the character to step down, he wouldn't have accepted it in the first place. If Allen had the acumen required, he would have recognized that he is not suited for the job. Gayle has already stated that she would not sell the team unless the sale had a guarantee of leaving the Saints in New Orleans. This is all being said by people because this is the problem and every other discussion is about how to treat a symptom. Nothing is cured by only treating symptoms. So to spin it, I ask.. Why is everyone discussing things that cure nothing? |

I'm generally not a tank person nor am I okay with losing but... these losses will benefit us more in the long run.
https://media.tenor.com/ZFJb9-uTDvgA...is-the-way.png Numb yourself. It'll be easier on the blood pressure. Firing Allen midseason just gives upper management a scapegoat for their own inadequacies. I actually hope Allen stays til the end of the season as I think it will actually help with the process. |

I think it was when they wussified practices to not allow them to hit. Supposed to help people quit getting injured so often, and yet look at the league right now - it's a freaking MASH unit. |
Re: Observations from Saints loss at Chargers
It's official now: we are the lowest-scoring team of NFL Week 8. It says more during a week with no bye teams.
Also - our kicker also cost us 4 points, and our return game has been getting lousy and mistake-prone. Can't count on special teams as a saving grace anymore. |

Re: Observations from Saints loss at Chargers
I think the team looked like crap from the kickoff. Rattler looks lost especially playing behind a primarily makeshift offensive line. I thought the guy was supposed to be mobile. He couldn't make a wheelchair bound grandmother miss him when deciding to run. Haener looked better, but still nowhere as competent as is Carr. Sure, Kamara has the "reason" of a broken bone in his hand to explain the drops, but anyone behind Olave is green as hell.
