this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; https://www.nbcsports.com/nfl/profoo...-hand-fracture That was unnecessary; seemed he was trying to motivate the team but he’s not Taysom. We will definitely know what we have at QB going into next season....

I want to see Haener with extended snaps. I don't think it would be a terrible idea to see both split halves. We need to prioritize finding out who can us help us next season and whether or not some of these guys deserve a roster spot. Kendre Miller is another guy that falls into this category. More Dallin Holker as well.

The Bayou Rattler had his chance earlier in the season. He was not ready yet. | |

Garner sucks. Rattler sucks. Carr sucks. So since Carr is done for the year and hopefully forever as a Saint. I’d like to see Rattler next week I guess over Haener.

Carr - nice guy, fragile QB
Best for him and the Saints to part ways ASAP |

Then we could restructure most our other players and make zero additions in free agency of anything more than veteran minimum level. We might go 0-17 or 0-18 in 2025 but our cap situation would be much better in 2026. But Loomis may not be willing to do it.![]()
If we restructure Carr instead, it will make his dead cap in 2026 offseason similar, and we will just face the same decision year after year. Meanwhile Carr is a decent QB who has never won a playoff game, who is like the 40yo Virgin of the NFL playoffs, and we are hoping to sneak into the playoffs with the 40yo Virgin and then have him run the table. Just not a very realistic plan. Better to pick the worst option at QB now for cheap and get a great option later instead of settling for mediocrity forever. |

How the hell did Haener turn to Garner in my post.
