NFL Conspiracy Theory
The more I watch the NFL, the more I start to believe that it’s rigged. I’m a long time Saints fan, so I’ve watched a ton of Saints games over the past 4 decades, but as I’ve watched other games during this postseason, I’ve noticed that it seems the NFL officials attempt to actively sway the outcome of a game, through holding penalties, pass interference penalties, roughing the passer penalties, etc. Whether they make these calls, or don’t make these calls, can completely influence the outcome of a game. This was on complete display during the Chiefs-Texans game. Only the best of the best teams can overcome these obstacles to a fair outcome.

I've always felt that the refs... I'll go with the word "favor" certain players that the league considers their supserstars.
It's nothing new. Yes, Mahomes gets calls, but my God Michael Vick not only got every possible roughing the passer call, there were also blatant offense holding calls that the refs just ignored. Other than Brees, we've never really had that guy who would get those calls. And he didn't get them when he was playing Brady. |
Re: NFL Conspiracy Theory
NBA was found to have at least one referee directly impacting games to benefit himself financially. Players do it as well.
While outright fixing games may not be as prevalent today, bias exists and without reprimands, the blatant errors will continue. |

NEWS NFL hires 24 full-time officials in second year of the program Published 6 years ago on August 31, 2018 By Mark Schultz The NFL has hired 24 officials as full-time NFL employees for the 2018 season. Last year there were 21 full-timers. Some full-time officials from last year are not full-time officials this year. Up until 2017, all NFL officials were designated at part-time employees and worked full-time jobs outside of football (see table below). There has been a drumbeat, mostly from fans and media, to make NFL officials full-time. During the contentious 2012 labor dispute, the NFL put forth a concrete proposal to make some of the officials full-time and it finally came to fruition last year. |

How many times must some people read "the NFL is entertainment, not sport" before they start to understand?
No sport changes the rules to attract specific demographic viewership. You do not have a committee responsible for maintaining the integrity of the game when you are not wanting to change the function with out changing the perception. If you are not f***ing with it the integrity is maintained. |

NFL reminds me of most parents. They always let it be known that they love ALL of their kids... but the kids know who the favorites are.

"That's Entertainment" Players can't bet on games yet........
According to a 2023 Washington Post report, the NFL currently takes in $132 million in gambling-related sponsorships. Those sponsors include the sports betting providers Caesars Entertainment, DraftKings, and FanDuel. "Officials wouldn't determine the outcome of games." Sure they wouldn't!! It'a all a "Big Show" follow the $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ All NFL franchises are riding high, however, with roughly $380 million in revenue per team coming from the league's lucrative new national media rights package, which kicked in last season.Aug 29, 2024 The longstanding league policy stated that teams must share 34% of revenue generated by ticket sales with the visiting team for each game. But for suites, they get to keep 100% of the “premium” revenue — that is, the price difference between the suite ticket and what it would cost without any of the suite trappings.Dec 13, 2024 The National Football League (NFL) averaged 17.5 million viewers for regular season games during the 2024 season, which was a two per cent decline on the previous campaign.Jan 9, 2025 21 of the NFL's 32 teams have seen year-over-year viewership declines in their local markets. |
