I don't know. I think Rattler is making it easier for the same reason I posted elsewhere. He has done nothing to distinguish himself from Shough. With all else being equal Shough has the size in his favor. He also has the draft capital and contractual guarantees. Chances are we aren't going to make a deep playoff run so there is little reason not to start the player that is the second highest QB drafted in the regular draft in franchise history. I really feel that Rattler needs to greatly outperform Shough to get the shot, something he has failed to do to this late stage of the decision making process.

Baldy's quick take on Banks.

All signs point to a quality Day 1 starter in this league.

Re: 2025 Saints Training Camp

The 2025 Saints team will be interesting to watch, specifically @ QB.

Rattler could be named the starter, not to say Tyler Shough isn't deserving. If he is truly "the guy" (based on draft position) in Coach Moore's eyes, there would be nothing wrong with him sitting until he gets a hold of this offensive system.

Lamar sat behind Flacco for a bit. Mahomes sat almost the entire season as a rookie behind Alex Smith. Hurts sat behind Carson Wentz ... etc, etc.

I wouldn't throw Tyler to the wolves until he's truly prepared & ready.
