Maybe in 2026?

Isn't the 2025 schedule already out?

I'm headed to France in October on Viking cruises down the Rhine river. I will have to buy a fleur de lis there.

Most of France is awesome. Paris, while massive, is less friendly than the rest of the country. That was our take while staying there and driving much of the south. Is that accurate, Smash?

I am not fond of the French. They are rude and don't bathe regularly. When we were in Croatia our driver for the day hated them and wouldn't let them ride up front because of the smell. I think they are rude but the rest of the world probably thinks we're rude too. I just want to see old architecture but most of their old towns were bombed and not rebuilt. I do know that the country is beautiful.

The people down south are friendly as can be once they realize that you aren't British, but American. Not sure if that's changed any under the recent atmosphere. We spent most of two weeks in and around Beziers traveling on day trips and were treated great and very kindly understanding that we spoke very little French. People can communicate without a common language when needed and desired.

Sacre Bleu... precisely why you visit other cities besides Paris.

We went to Valras Plage a few times to enjoy the beach. I enjoyed a lot as did the wife. Understand?

Montpellier. Awesome.

La Cité in Carcassonne my favorite of all! Wow! The best food I had in France. Peasant food by some, but so much like our southern American. The incredible cassoulet! Holy crap! White beans slowly cooked with duck, garlic sausage, goose fat, and other great additions! Cooked for hours in a clay pot forming a near orgasmic crust on the top. Served simply with fresh baguette.

Oh My God!

I inherited many of those genes that control sublime cooking skills. I have a flair for making mundane things, no matter the origin better than the original... like ceviche, pico de gayo, salsa, 64 degree eggs with an hollandaise, quiche, paella, ratatouille, the list goes on.

A bit of a cook myself. In almost 37 years of marriage I have cooked all but four meals. We very seldom go out to eat. Only on special occasions, and sometimes I make the special meals at home instead.
