This is a league wide promotion. New alternate uniforms mean new revenues. All of these type of revenues are shared across the entire league. I suspect every team will be introducing a new version in the coming days. Several already have.

I have that same Deuce gold jersey. That was my game day jersey for years. I even got him and other players to sign it at a training camp.

For the record: hate it. Against it. Putting a better team on the field will sell more jerseys. We already have the best uniform in sports. Leave it alone.

I don’t hate them. But they’re not my favorite. I did kind of like the gold jerseys from the early 2000s.

The new alternate uniforms are not the idea of the Saints to sell jerseys. It is basically a league driven strategy. All revenues from merchandise sales are shared equally amongst all 32 franchises. These jerseys can only be used in a very limited number of games.

Wasn't. The gold background was from SD44. Since then the endzone has been a green background.

Not a fan of the gold jersey look.

We've needed a new uniform for a while and this one just feels weak in my opinion, wearing it week 1 is an interesting choice too.
