If Jameis Winston was on the roster, I think he would be the favorite to win the QB competition. When the options are a rookie 2nd round pick with an injury plagued college career trading on measurables and hope, a 2nd year 5th rounder who is a bit undersized and was winless in seven games (albeit under extremely trying circumstances), and a 3rd year extremely undersized bust who has looked like a deer in headlights in any game action, you could do a lot worse than having someone who looks like a former pro bowler who once threw for 5000 yards and won a college championship. Lets face it, we've got 3 lottery tickets (well, maybe Haener is the lottery ticket your preschooler made in daycare) and its going to be some fun gaming if we realize that you don't always/usually win in such games of chance but you can still enjoy the games. If any one of these guys looks anything like Brees or Winston we are lucky. And if Shough looks like Winston his rookie year then great, so did Peyton Manning.
