Saints’ linebacker depth impressing in camp
By Ross Jackson
D’Marco Jackson

The App State alum has had his strongest camp since entering the league. Much like Sewell, Jackson has been a core special teams player for the team for years. But now he’s shown a propensity to be a solid and reliable downhill hitter in run defense, making several stops throughout the last few weeks in practices.
Could the Saints finally have a great LB core?
Here's hoping, Hagan!

Re: Saints’ linebacker depth impressing in camp

Just might be the best corps in more than a minute the Saints have had. After Mario retires at season's end, we could use more talent. I am encouraged, dare I say almost excited, with talents like Stutsman. I was wondering about Jaylon Ford, one of the least talked about draftees. I wonder however if the new system uses the talents better than what the previous regime attempted to do.

I hope the new defense makes Werner improve, because he's been rather forgettable the past few years. Not to mention Demario and Cam are probably close to retirement, we need young players to step up.
