Vele is 6-5, 210 pounds. No additional information on his knee situation so far. I did a deep dive.

6’5 & can move the chains.

I was wondering when they would target a bigger wide out.

Was never sold on the idea of having so many receivers 6’0 and under.

Maybe coach isn’t sold on B Cooks (small & questionable hands).

Will cooks even make the squad now? You have this guy, Olave, Shaeed, and Tipton. Can cooks beat out Bubba or any other of the cheap #5 wr’s?

That's my question too. I have a feeling they're not done shuffling and trades.

Luke McCown was on NFL Radio just now to talk about the Saints and their QB situation, he also talked about the talent of the WR corps. He had Cooks, Shaheed, and Olave as a solid top three for sure. He said Vele would give them that added size for the red zone much like Graham and Colston when he was with the team. As for Cooks specifically, McCown said what he's seen from Cooks this camp has him with the same dynamic speed and veteran presence. The Saints "official" depth chart has him clearly sitting as one of the three starters.
