![]() Updated: Oct. 24, 2005, 1:02 AM ET Dolphins S Jones undergoes surgery for torn pectoral SportsTicker National Football League News Wire MIAMI -- Miami Dolphins safety Tebucky Jones underwent surgery to repair a right pectoral muscle tear and is expected to miss the rest of the season. Dr. George Caldwell performed the surgery at Broward General Medical Center in Fort Lauderdale. Jones suffered the injury in the Dolphins' 30-20 loss to Kansas City on Friday night. Signed as a free agent last March, Jones had 24 tackles and two sacks in six games with the Dolphins (2-4). The 30-year-old Jones spent his first five seasons with the New England Patriots and was a member of their Super Bowl-winning team in 2001 before being traded to the New Orleans Saints in April 2003. He played two seasons with the Saints before being signed by Miami. Last season, he started all 16 games at free safety for the Saints and set a career high with 110 tackles. http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/wire?...nfl&id=2202018 8) |
