The point is, if the receiver did absolutely nothing, the ball should have never been thrown in his direction. Shouldn't that tell you that Brooks, obviously, had no clue what Henderson was doing.
On a timing route, you throw the ball to where the receiver is supposed to be. Where did Brooks throw the ball? He threw it in the direction where the receiver was stagnant, straight to the receiver not the route. The CB was in front of Henderson for the entire play. This tells you one of two things. 1)Either Brooks threw the ball without looking to that side of the field at all, or he never (for some reason) seen the cornerback there. 2)Brooks was intending to throw the ball over the corner's head. This would mean that it was a badly underthrown ball. The corner never had to break on the ball, it was thrown straight at him. |
I seriously doubt that Aaron Brooks would start for any other football team. I'm quite sure that not even the Houston Texans want him.
Thats all I have to say about the remainder of this subject. |
It's opinion versus opinion. I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

It's not Brooks' fault he has one of the worst passer rating samong active starters in the league. And the worst among non-rookies, outside of Harrington who has been benched now. It's not his fault that he has committed the same stupid mistakes for 5 years now. It's never his fault. Always someone else's. Brooks sucks. He has been getting worse and worse since the all out assault on the fumble record in 2003. Brooks couldn't start for John Curtis. |

Key words were INSIDE MOVE... he didn't go to the INSIDE

Let me give an everyday explanation. Say you are at the grocery store looking for a parking spot. You spot a close one and race towards it. Another car is racing towards it as well, and they get halfway in the spot before you get there. Do you A) ram them even though they are already there, or B) go to the empty spot that just opened up right across the aisle? As I said, Devery could have attempted to run over the corner, but he saw the route was jumped and attempted to break to the open area, which was the outside. Brooks threw WITHOUT LOOKING. I see that's not a problem for you with a QB. Good luck with that. |
