Well since they are on a bye even they would have a tough time logging a L. However -- after the bye they get to play New England -- a team on the decline who are probably licking their chops at the thought of getting healthy against us. I predict that game is going to be ugly.

My guess is the Giants get the extra victory.

It went from me saying we'll miss the bus to you talking about Aaron Brooks. Now people can see why I try to make an effort not to talk to certain individuals such as yourself. Making an effort to avoid some people doesn't mean to ignore someone completely. Try to process all the words before you respond. You're ability to get from point A to point B seems like a difficult task most of the time... slow down and don't get your panties tied up in a bunch all of the time. I don't believe I said anything bad about our quarterback on this thread... why is it so neccessary for you to bring him up in every thread. I could make a thread about how bad the beer guy threw his nuts at a baseball game(I have a feeling someone is thinking something weird now!) and you'll manage to bring up Brooks name somehow. Give it up already... there are better things to talk about.

Patriots at Dolphins
New England is in real danger of falling below .500 and losing its slim lead in the AFC East. Ideally, the Patriots would like to stack the line of scrimmage with eight and nine men in an effort to force Miami QB Gus Frerotte to win this game with his arm. However, a secondary that has been depleted by injuries is vulnerable to getting beat deep when New England moves extra defenders into the box. The Patriots can expect to see a steady diet of RBs Ronnie Brown and Ricky Williams as a result.

Ravens at Jaguars
If Jacksonville wants to make a run at the playoffs, these are games it must win in the second half of the season. The Ravens are struggling in every phase of the game and will welcome back QB Kyle Boller. He will try to provide a spark to an anemic offense that has only scored seven TDs in eight games and audition for the role as the quarterback of the future. The Jaguars' defense will attack the Ravens' rushing attack and force Boller to attack through the air.

Vikings at Giants
There is certainly the potential for a blowout here. After all, the Giants are averaging more points per game than any other team in the league and Minnesota has given up 30 points in three of its four away games. However, the Vikings' offense is estabslihing a new identity because of QB Daunte Culpepper's season-ending knee injury.

Chiefs at Bills
The Bills look to get back in the AFC East race as they host the Chiefs. Buffalo enters the season's second half facing an unusual dilemma -- does it continue to start QB Kelly Holcomb and fight for a playoff spot, or does it return to the long-term future of J.P. Losman. The Bills can count on a steady diet of running back Larry Johnson and Priest Holmes, assuming the latter is deemed healthy by game time, while the Chiefs can count on a heavy dose of RB Willis McGahee. Both teams will attack on the ground to set up the play-action pass. The Bills will continue to rely on McGahee to shorten the game and control the time of possession. Also, look for the Bills to attack through the air against a shaky Chiefs secondary.

Bye Weeks at Saints
Coming off five straight losses, and the subtraction of their best offensive weapon in Deuce McAllister, this looks like it is going to be another tough week for the Saints. The Bye Weeks come in with nothing; they actually require a team to do nothing, but this is where we believe the Saints will be tripped up. Aaron Brooks, who has a 54% completion percentage and a 66.6 passer rating will probably be forced into making more bad throws by absolutely nothing. In adding to this, the enigmatic quarterback who many have coined "The Human Turnover" will most likely be forced to fumble the snap at least once in this game. Also, as we have seen in past games, Brooks will probably have an unforced fumble when he is just sitting back in the pocket, without anyone touching the ball. These problems, along with the fact that the OLine can't block anything and the defense can't stop anyone (including the Bears and rookie RBs) will result in a win for the Bye Weeks.

49ers at Bears
The Bears are sitting pretty with a two-game lead atop the NFC North. The team currently boasts a four-game winning streak and returns home following a two-game road stretch. The biggest challenge for head coach Lovie Smith's team is avoiding a letdown against the 49ers, who visit Soldier Field on Sunday.

Texans at Colts
Tony Dungy will be harping on the Colts not to have a letdown in a classic sandwich game. In between an impressive Monday Night Football win over the Patriots and a big intra-conference game with the Bengals, his team will take on the hapless Texans. The Colts will continue to play their no-huddle up tempo style with a good balance of run and pass against a Texans defense that is giving up 364.8 total yards per game. Defensive coordinator Ron Meeks will attack the Texans with an aggressive one-gap scheme and Cover 2 principles that have produced good results during the 2005 season. The Colts will look to start fast and keep the Texans from gaining any confidence.
