Something that's bothered me for the last few seasons...
The Saints don't take near enough deep shots. Even though Brooks has some sort of record going right now with 30-something straight games with completions over 25 yards, why is it that they don't just rare back and let 'er rip all that often? Look how many deep shots the Patriots took today.......they missed several, but kept plugging away...and nailed that 60 yard TD on the Saints.
That is one aspect that we never replaced when Willie Jackson departed. How many times did we see him on the other end of a 40 or more yard TD strike from Brooks? SEVERAL....especially in those battles with the Rams...There's no excuse either, since right now we've got probably the best WR core we've ever had.......and Brooks's arm certainly hasnt lost any strength...
