Stecker shows more heart than Deuce....

I have been watching some old games of the Saints before Deuce got hurt and all... I saw that Deuce isnt even trying every down he seems sooo slow and Deuce hasnt had a huge run in ages.... Then I see stecker he never quits he hits the hole with speed and never gives up, and i respect Stecker for that, and for Deuce i really havent seen him since 2003 WHERE DID HE GOOOOO!!!!!

.. I think he got hurt, and not "2-4 weeks out" hurt, but hurt enough that it affected his performance on the field. Remember that he fell in the draft because he had a rep for being injury-prone... guess it was true...

... I do like the way Stecker plays also, and since last year, felt he should've been given the ball more...

When Smith came in and seemed to do better than Duece with the same o-line and all that was pretty good sign. Hopefully Duece will come back cause he is a leader.

Yeah I hope deuce goes back to his old ways

if reggie bush is on the board on our pick, it will be time to pull another R william trade.

With the possible exception of Horn, it seems like as fast as the ink is dry on a mega-contract the effort falls off, and shorter each week.

Some say motivation is the responsibility of the individual! Incentive is something completely different!

I wouldn't trade Deuce... I snag bush and have a RB by committee... Denver, KC...

Bayouking 318 I think your getting ahead of yourself Duece Mccallister sighned a 6 0r seven year 40 million dollar contract last year.

blackwidows 11-28-2005 08:18 PM

Sorry I meant this year heres the link explaining the Dueca Mccalister contract that runs through 2012.

What would it take for us to get reggie bush? And why are we even concerned with the running back position? We have three solid backs, kinda like the eagles position that took them to a superbowl. Do you really think were doing all that bad? 6 of the games we played this season we lost due to bad play calling by the officials. If were so bad, then why do teams with the exception of green bay worry when they play us? I think 2007 looks very promising.

Why do soo many people pretend to be fans, when they could care less about the team, or the players? Deuce is hurt pretty bad, and people are talking about trading him. Ever stop to ask yourself is he gonna be alright? Not for footballs sake, but for his sake. Hes still human, and deserves some respect and recognition for what hes done. You didn't hear anybody booing him when he was scoring.

I was wondering when somebody would speak out for Deuce. It is true, The OL was not opening holes for him and he was at least averaging 75 yards a game!!! Last year he was out for 2 games and limited for 2 or 3 more, so that averages to about 12 games played last year and 1074 yards. 90 yards a game average? How the hell do you think he got to be the All-Time Saints rusher in a little over 3 years full time rushing. Give him a break people.

Agreed give Deuce a break...The O-Line was not there for the first part of the seson...I want to see what he does next year though...And you have to wonder, If we finish ahead in the draft of Arizona what could we get for Deuce like a couple more picks and a player or two...Oh yeah and we still take Bush...Can you imagine the pass-run attack of A-Mac, Bush, Horn, Stallworth, and Henderson....Remember also that Smith is not young in fact I remember an interview at the begining of the season when he said he doubted he would play next year....don't get me wrong I think he could play next year and well, but does he want to play..Has anyone heard if that has changed...Right now I still say Keep Deuce

I like Duece. But he is not the same player he was. He does not run as hard, always seeming to hesitate before he hits the hole. Stecker and Smith run harder and have better results with the same line. I don't think the line play is any different. It's decisive, hard running that has made the difference. I think Duece is most like Shaun Alexander in terms of size and speed, but Alexander is getting better and Duece isn't. And now a major knee injury. I hate to say it but Duece's best years are behind him. Saints have to plan for a future without him...
