Here is an interesting find in SI

Nothing will be more encouraging to the Saints than a full-out assault in the offseason to trade for Phillip Rivers, the fourth overall pick of the 2004 draft who hasn't played for San Diego, and won't, because he can't supplant Drew Brees. Rivers wants out. The Saints should want him in.

What would we have to give up to get him?
Do we want to give up a lot for a kid with so little experience?

well he'd obviously be better than what we have, I'm not disputing that.

Yes, he is inexperienced, but don't we want as much good competition at that position in the off season as possible, I don't know if A-Mac, B-Man, or Rivers will be good no one does but I want as muchtalent competing for that position as humanly possible

i dont know if i would really want rivers...i mean come on the guy cant beat out drew brees who is a solid qb but geez... he has tons of weapons... n is still only a marginaly descent qb
