Contact the NFL- Make a Difference
'Tis the season to email/call all important figures in the NFL. We must convince them that the Saints and NFL are better off if Benson were forced to sell the team to one of the Louisiana groups.

RE: Contact the NFL- Make a Difference
I sent my just now. I created a mailing list on my e-mail and will continue to submit an e-mail daily reminding all of them how important the Saints are to New Orleans and the surrounding region.

RE: Contact the NFL- Make a Difference
Thanks!
We need to make a statement, so that even if we do lose the Saints we'd be considered for an Expansion team if the City came back as good as ever. I don't want to lose this team though. Remember to mention that we have two legit groups in Louisiana who are willing to buy the team from Benson to KEEP the team in Louisiana! If anyone wants to do more, I hear handwritten letters and phonecalls work the best. |
done!
|
Done, thanks for posting this joe87!
Let's get some letters out there. Anyone who can write, do it. If you need something proof read, email it to me and we'll help. |
i guess we will all have to see what happens.
|
Thanks joe, I just sent my email. I know it'll probably be deleted before anybody ever reads it, but at least if Benson does move the team, I can say I gave it a shot. Everybody else, just take a quick minute to send them an email. It can't hurt right?

Done!! :saintsfan:

Come on guys. Don't just show up like Brooks, contribute to make the team better. Here is my contribution to the effort:
To All It May Concern: I am writing this letter as part of my effort to keep the New Orleans Saints here in Louisiana. We have gone through very difficult times here because of hurricanes Katrina and Rita. All involved know how much of a positive and important distraction sports can be from the real-life difficulties in this world. We, here in Louisiana, have supported this team over the years like no other, dispite the long-standing record of futility. The Saints have the best attendance per loss than any other team in NFL history. In other words, a team with this track record could not and would not survive in any other place. I humbly ask you to join me and other dedicated Saints fans to help us in keeping the Saints here in Louisiana. Thank you. Mike F. Lake Charles, LA |
Done. Damn fine research here too. Man joe87, much respect.

I don't hand out a whole lot of compliments (ask Whodi) but I do agree totally!! Excellent research.....And I truely hope we can get through to someone. |
Here's a "Bump". This deserves to stay near the top. Sending an e-mail to these organizations should be a membership requirement to Black and Gold.
Top enough for you ...... Got it up here in the 08 realm ...... |
Thanks, whoever you are! But do people actually pay much attention to the "Sticky's", like they do the posts?

One I do not have an answer for ........ Let me know if you just want to bump it ...... Quote:
O Halo ...... :nutkick: |
Here is the first e-mail I sent to the league owners. You can use all or part if you want:
You guys have the power to bring Tom Benson, owner of my New Orleans Saints to his knees. He has shown nothing but greed in his efforts to move a team that has a very loyal fan base to San Antonio. He has done nothing but lie to his team and everyone else for that matter. Telling the team most recently that the Saints practice facility and surrounding areas are uninhabitable. When Tags and Upshaw visited they both stated that was not the case. They both stated the facilities were in great shape. You are all men of honor and people look up to you for the things you have accomplished in your life. Give that feeling back to the loyal fans of the New Orleans Saints and force Mr. Benson to sell the team or if you can't support that at least vocalize your opposition to the Saints ever leaving New Orleans. Gentlemen this is not about money, not for the fans anyway. Thanks for your support. Send e-mails as often as possible. Hey Mike, can we use all or part of your letter to send to media outlets? |
Props to CheramieIII too.

Like I have posted in other topics...I am not a local...but the truth is.....I can't picture or even remotely imagine the Saints being in any other city other than New Orleans. You guys and myself since 1989 have been the most loyal of the loyal. I sit at home with my Sunday Ticket and dream of the day I get to visit the Dome for an actual football game (been there twice during Mardi Gras the floor was loaded with tables.) The Saints belong in NO and I will send my letter in support for you guys. GO SAINTS GO!!

and FJ if any of those addresses come back bad let me know. I have had a few returned by have not changed them on this thread yet. Welcome aboard!!
