Bradshaw Wants To Buy SAINTS.
 

On the front page of the sports section today was a story about how Terry Bradshaw wants to lead a group of investors to buy the Saints and keep them in New Orleans. I cannot find a link to an online version of the story, so I may have to scan a copy of the paper to show. This was in the Mobile Press Register. Bradshaw is in town for the GMAC Bowl.

It is rumor in this part of the state that Bradshaw is definitely interested in purchasing the club. A couple of the "rumored" investors are Karl Malone and James Davison. If this were to come to fruition, I think it would be a great thing. James Davison is one of the most astute businessmen in the state. He owns practically everything up here. Karl Malone has a great business mind as well. With Terry Bradshaw handling the football aspcet of it, that may not be a bad ownership group at all. I've heard TB say many times that he would have loved to play for the Saints...May be even better if he owned them.

You do know that story has been floated for almost a month now, since he mentioned it on air during a fox sports segment? He also said he has not had any talks with Tom Benson, and he knows of Benson's statements that the team is not for sale.

I think he is still talking behind the scenes to the commish and other owners...I heard on ESPN Radio the other morning that in a recent poll the NO Saints were listed as the worst run franchises in proffessional sports, the Arizona Cardinals in many peoples opinion was run better also the Houston Texans...It has to be said, I did not disagree...We were ranked 57th out of the top 60 proffessional franchises in America, they did not say who was behind us on the list...
