i think he has vick ability but i also believe that he is a much better passer then vick was in college and will be in the NFL as well...

I think he'll be better with another season in Texas... athletically I have no problem with him. You can only drool over his potential. But, though he's considered the most accurate passer in Texas history (I think he is stat wise), I think those numbers are a little deceiving. He underthrows a lot of guys and have trouble leading receivers IMO... but it should continue to improve and he'll be a very good quarterback down the road... just not now. He's not as polished at Leinart, Quinn, or Jacobs but that's just wait I feel watching him play the past couple of seasons. If he were to leave and drafted, I'd have to agree with spk... got to root for him regardless... he's a Saint.

I just think we need to stray as far from "Brooks style of play" as possible....

even if we do end up with leinert or any other player for that matter we would be drafting him for his POTENTIAL, its what the draft is all about, so Y wouldnt u take the guy who has the chance to becoming a phenom!?! theres no guarentee that leinert wont be a bust or bush or any other player, u just have to take a chance and thats what everyteam does every year during the draft....

i would take leinart before young. i think young would do better for himself to go back for a year. brooks style of play of course. thats called can't read a d and turn the ball over. i'd be happy with bush. if not let's trade down and a couple of good players.

Yes the word "potential" is a @#$#% isn't it? Jonathan Sullivan... A-Mac... Stallworth... Henderson? I think you're doomed when scouts and analyst put that word on you. Because of the word "potential", it's hard to let players go and let them drag on leaching off your payroll while never fulfilling it.
