THANK YOU, TEXAS!!!!

.. thank you very, very, very, very much... maybe now, after the myth of USC has been dispelled, just maybe, LSU can get his 2003 National Championship title back :)

... and as for Leinart, he did play a good game, and I'll admit that he can throw a screen pass with the best of them, but now more than ever I don't think the Saints should pick him up... the team around him is spectacular, O-line, backfield, WRs... He would get killed if he was under center in N.O... the shot he took that got him woozy wasn't that big of a shot, I don't think...

Sorry, Whodi, but I still see Torretta, with Wuerfell tinges :)

... as for Reggie Bush, I think this game is going to affect his draft status a bit. The game wasn't the "Reggie Bush Revue" that everyone expected. He did get yards both rushing and receiving and scored a TD, but it was LenDale White who kept the Trojans moving, except of course on that stuff at the end...

If Vince Young comes out, the Texans are going to have a hard time trying to decide who to pick at #1...

I'll just say you're wrong, and leave it at that. I can understand people hating USC cause of the LSU split national title thing, I hate them myself, but I am not gonna let it cloud my judgment. To each his own.

I went to the game to see one of the two players whom we could end up with... With all that has been said on here. I think we better snag Bush if he is there or trade down, wait thats what I have been saying, so it only made me more convinced that is what we should do. Bush was good, explosive. Leinart... didn't win. Vince now he is special... he was wrapped up and stood there and threw, they couldn't bring him down. You can't compare him to vic even though he had 200 yards rushing, he is an accurate passer, did what it took to win. If someone says he is another vic you have to say yeah maybe a cross between Vic and McNair. It would make an interesting draft if Vince came out this year.

This is why noone should listen to you. Don't Leinart and Bush play on the same team? And only Leinart didn't win? Yet THEY couldn't bring Vince down? When did Leinart start playing defense? On why on the most critical play of the game, 4th and 2 late, was Bush on the sideline? Please stop.

My sentiments exactly.

Here is the deal Leinart DID lose that game for his team.........with 8 seconds left, instead of throwing a quick out and getting close enough to throw one up to one of the best WRs in college, he decided to scramble around and then throw to the sideline with 1 second left. That throw proved to me he IS NOT ready to play against high pressure defenses in the NFL. PERIOD!

saintswhodi 01-05-2006 11:03 AM

LMAO!! As opposed to the perfect thrown in the Notre Dame game on 4th down. Good call.

One throw? One play helped you to determine all of that? Hmmmm...that's very interesting. Guys, I think we found our next GM to replace Mickey Loomis. Definitely an eye for talent. :bs:

Yes as opposed to the pass he threw against a deffense that didn't pressure him all game. Even better call.

being in Iraq this football season I have had to watch Leinart throw against the weak Pac-10 all year, and he has a weak arm, his throws are not tight, and don't have to be too accurate when you are throwing to a 6'4" reciever with sure hands, or a 2 yard screen to Bush. He gets AB happy feet in the pocket when he is blitz. Those are my reasons not just ONE pass as you say. Don't let the media persuade you otherwise.

I'm a big boy. I have my own mind and don't need the media's help. Leinart has been my choice ALL SEASON since I knew the Saints were going to tank after that hammering they took from Green Bay. I didn't need media coverage of him to influence me. His resume' says it all.

mighty12 01-05-2006 11:23 AM

Well I am glad that the media has no affect on you. What I want to know, if that is the case, What have you seen in Matt that makes him worthy of the number 2 pick? If you give me stats however I will throw out AB stats to refute that reasoning. So you have the mic speak out and change my mind.

ABs stats? You mean all the fumbles, INTs, and NEVER completing over 60% of his passes, EVER? Never leading a team to the playoffs over a full season, backwards passes, underhanded tosses to linemen, red zone fumbles and INTs? Those stats? Get real.

Well I meant more so his college stats, but thanks for bringing up his pro stats because that is what we are looking forawrd to with Matty boy. You still haven't told me WHY we should chose Leinart over the other top players coming into the draft. WHAT have YOU SEEN that says Matt is the guy.

Why did I captalize SEEN???? Because I want to know what, with your own 2 eyes and not ESPNs, Matt has shown you he could do without a talented O-line. So PLEASE make me eat crow.
