jay cutler?!?!?
Y isnt anyone talking about cutler... he is also projected as a QB worthy of a top 10 selection...
he is a good qb live arm very intelligent played on a really ****ty team.... ie eli manning... |
RE: jay cutler?!?!?
Good call Pak. Since the Vinsanity start Cutler has been lost in the shuffle.
|
RE: jay cutler?!?!?
I'm thinking the same thing, pak....If Leinart or Young are going to be prima donnas and not sign with the Saints, then trade the pick down to draft Cutler in the first round. Any picks acquired from the trade can be used to beef up the defense. There are so many possible scenarios right now that it's making me dizzy.
|
RE: jay cutler?!?!?
Hey pak if you look back at one of my older posts I did put him ahead of Leinart as a better decision maker and a stronger arm. He did all this against the TOUGH SEC defense.
|
RE: jay cutler?!?!?
We could probably get alot more picks out of this scenario and trade down to the 7th or 10th pick and still get Cutler. Ryan in the second round if he last and I'm all for this one.
|
RE: jay cutler?!?!?
i think it would be a great move by the orginization.. but i doubt it would happen....
|
RE: jay cutler?!?!?
Baby steps down the board if young comes out.
1) Houston Young 2) Tenn Leinart 3) Jets Bush 4) NO hmmm AJ or Ferguson: AJ !!!!!!!!!!!! trade down twice pick up all those picks beyond actual pick value for all the hype. |
RE: jay cutler?!?!?
I agree w/the Cutler talk too, but no way Saints pick him. They don't have shrewd enough talent evaluation. Cutler doesn't have the name recognition either....won't put butts in the seats.
|
RE: jay cutler?!?!?
I agree with the culter talk to it would be a good pick up
|
RE: jay cutler?!?!?
Hagan that's what I've been trying to say. We could pick up some many more picks in the draft to get some stud OL and DT a QB and a stud linebacker just for trading down two spots.
|
RE: jay cutler?!?!?
I think Cutler is more Pat Ramsey than Brett Favre
|
RE: jay cutler?!?!?
Hey maybe we can get Pat from the Skins? Different surroundings may do him good.
|
RE: jay cutler?!?!?
I think that Ramsey could be a decent pick up. I would have to guess that Washington will be shopping him with the resurgance if Brunell and having drafted Cambell in the 1st round last year.
|
RE: jay cutler?!?!?
and that's what you call thinking outside the box.
|
RE: jay cutler?!?!?
Good call Cheramie.
|
RE: jay cutler?!?!?
vince young, is future h-o-f. you don't pass on h-o-f players. and taking aj. hawks partner in the 2nd round would be the ideal pick. mlb ohio state.
|
RE: jay cutler?!?!?
Futture HOF is pushing it. Does he have that potential? Yes. But he also has the potential to be the next Aaron Brooks. Sorry I'm not buying Vince.
|
RE: jay cutler?!?!?
You aren't Saints are.
|
RE: jay cutler?!?!?
Not according to all the experts mock drafts
|
RE: jay cutler?!?!?
I would not mind trading down far enough to take Cutler we could get a helluva lot of picks trading down to 7 through 10.

If we could manage to grab Cutler with a late 1st round pick or our second, then we have a lot more freedome. I think we need to address the LT and MLB positions given the number of premiere players at those positions. We'd be much better off with an AJ Hawk or a Ferguson or Scott than we would with Leinert and would be spared the crazy money we would have to pay Leinert. The BMG plan: 1. Deal Brooks 2. Deal Howard 3. Deal Gandy 4. Sign a QB, LT and MLB on the first day |

WTF are u smoking!?!??! espn puts mel kiper all over the freakin TV like every couple hours.... i havent heard him say one word about cutler yet... an thats what this topic is about... |
RE: jay cutler?!?!?
herbet i mean ramsey could be a decent fa pick up, but do we really just want another qb that is mediocre at best. i know you guys down there love those local college guys, but the saints need a big time qb that is a proven winner to build around and change the long looser mentality that this franchise has had.
cutler may be a decent qb, but from much of what i have heard he is inconsistant at times and tries too hard to make plays. we have had too many of those kind of qbs in the past. |
