Horn Contract Talks Heat Up

14:04 PT: Updating an ongoing story, the AP reports the New Orleans Saints and WR Joe Horn are close on a contract extension. It appears both sides are likely to agree upon a three-year deal in the neighborhood of $4.5 to $5 million per season with a signing bonus of $6 or $7 million. Horn said if a deal is not accomplished by the start of the early May minicamp, he will be forced to skip it.


Sounds like a pretty decent deal for ol' Joe. This should be more to Gator's liking. It'll still keep him here for 5 years, since he still has 2 years remaining on his contract.
